Breast Cancer Research Advancing to a Cure

Liliana Cerquozzi, 20, is fighting for breast cancer research after she lost her aunt over a year ago to the disease.

Cerquozzi held a bake sale at Flagler Colleges STAND event and sold bracelets for breast cancer research.

Cerquozzi is dedicating her life to Susan G. Komen and breast cancer research.

Breast Cancer has been the hardest battle of many women and mens lives throughout the world. Susan G. Komen non-profit for Breast Cancer research is one of the highest grossing non-profits in the United States. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death in the United States for women by cancer. Deaths from breast cancer have been greatly reduced since 1990 because of the advance in research, but it will still effect 1 out of every 8 women.
